TONEX Board is here! The complete TONEX rig with AmpliTube effects, advanced routing, and touchscreen control

And you can restore your purchases with the avatar logo in the lower left:

Sorry if this has been asked, but the one feature I would have liked on my Tonex large pedal is a stereo widening feature. The new NAM Tone3000 plugin has this. You just dial in the offset amount. I assume that to have this on Tonex I now have to purchase Tonex board as it has stereo capability? This is a bit disappointing if I have got this right as I only go the Tonex large pedal fairly recently and now it seems a little obsolete.

(This is definitely of interest to all members, so adding it here) I got this reply from Peter-IK to my question when I sent a DM chat message with the same question:

As of now I don’t have a roadmap to share but I did sent that sentiment to the team too in case they would share one in the future. They were positive toward increase MIDI controllability so there should be improvements coming along.

i dont have those tabs on editor . I bought the tonex board the day of or maybe the day after it came out. tonex editor i clicked reimport library . in the player i clicked restore purchases. i can get to them on the player by the drop down menu if i wanted to add them buiding a preset. but they are not listed anywhere else. i cant get a purchased tab by restoring purchased. i recently sold my original tonex to help buy the board and transferred the serial it that means anything.

moments later i got it. i reinstalled tonex max from product manager. intalled beta version again and now it shows up.

What about the presets that come with the Collections? When I use the Preset window browser, the Collections tab is missing. Thanks

Yes, once you download them (instructions here) they will be in your Presets.

I appreciate the reply, but the instructions are for the older version of Tone X. I’m using Tone X version 2.0.4 and it’s different from the older version. There is no download all button.

I sent this question/suggestion to support before I was approved for the new forum. I’ll repost it here in case anyone else finds it useful or wants to chime in:

I have a question/suggestion regarding using Tonex Board with two instruments. I’m a gigging bass player and long-time Tonex Pedal user who recently upgraded to Tonex Board. I also use a pedalboard mounted mini-sampler for our shows. Previously, I used a small mixer and DI box to send a blended bass/sampler signal to FOH. With Tonex Board, I’ve been able to ditch the mixer and DI, but I still haven’t found an ideal way for my signal routing. I suspect there are other multi-instrumentalists that might have the same concerns I do. So far these are the solutions I’ve found using my Board for two sources:

  1. Use parallel paths, one for each instrument. This works great, but I don’t need any processing on my sampler and I loose half of the processing power of the Board by going parallel. I also would like to use both paths in a split/mix for my bass sounds so that I can bi-amp. I play overdriven bass and would like to take advantage of using guitar amps for crunch and bass amps for the bottom. This also requires reprogramming every preset to accommodate my sampler signal. I’d love a way to route the sampler signal globally.

  2. Insert an external send/return at the end of each preset with nothing connected to send, but the sampler plugged into the return jack. This allows me to adjust the bass/sampler ratio with the blend knob, but there is a volume drop of both. This also needs to be done for every preset.

If there are any current suggestions on how to overcome these limitations, that would be much appreciated!

Here is my ideal suggestion. I think this would work great for anyone using synths, samplers, drum machines, etc.

Please expand the routing in the Audio Panel to be a fully functional global mixer! It’s already really close to having this functionality. With 4 inputs and 6 outputs, Tonex Board could serve as a fully functional mini mixer as well as an amazing modeler/fx unit. If I could directly route Input 2 (my sampler) globally to the same outputs as all my bass presets, this would be a perfect solution for me. I could use all my existing presets without any modification, without loosing 1/2 the fx power by going parallel or without signal drop of the send/return block. I’d imagine this would particularly appeal to keyboardists that use 2-4 synths live and would like effects for 1 or 2 of the synths while ditching the need for a mixer.

Same problem as Boz52. Uninstalled/Reinstalled Tonex many times, Restored Purchases and library many times and this is all I get?

Brown Sound collection is missing

They are not put into folders by collection. Best would be to sort by most recent and they should show up at or near the top. If you’re still not seeing them IK Support can assist you directly.

I’ve been trying to “Restore Purchases” many times and I notice about 20% it just stops? The green line displaying the progress just goes away? I’m using windows 10. Also tried it with a different computer( Windows 10) same issue??? It just stops???

Hi. You didn’t cover a common question about MIDI controllability. Will this be developed for much finer control than what the manual currently describes?

We don’t have a current roadmap for MIDI but I relayed the request for more MIDI control and the response was positive so there’s a good chance for more there.

What exbout FX loops for external effects? Putting FX loop after Amp (in single chain) or after split (in stereo) cause that pedal to drive or go in some wierd kind od out of phase, inverting phase in mixer/spliter doesnt change that state

What about wah and expression pedal workflow? So far there is no auto engage on move or capability to turn wah block on/off with expression toe switch

Some more detailed description in manual for spliter/mixer with signal flow would be nice (i mean what’s going on when you pan spliter od mixer, etc)

Bug - with switches set to “Press” instead of “release” you can no longer access the tuner or bank/preset up down by pressing the appropriate two switches.

That is something you should report to IK Support so they can troubleshoot directly with you. The loops should work as typical FX loops do.

They can also address any technical limitations or possibilities for your expression pedal needs/questions.

Please report issues like this to IK Support so they can make sure there’s not something else going on and can report it directly to the devs if there is a global issue.

@aprico Maybe your phase issue comes from mixing in an external processed signal to the internal…and due to latency of the external pedal, you get that issue.

Therefore a phase reverse doesn’t change anything, because latency issue and not real phase issue.

Just my thoughts.

Ok, but that should happend always, and currently its happening when i move loop after Amp or splitter

Before Amp/splitter sounds fine

Pedal: echo fix ef-p2

I used to have it after one of regular tonex pedals in wet/dry rig (but with both amps getting dry signal, but only one with wet effects) and there was no problems, also inside od ml10x, gigrig, no issues

Gona try today to put there Stuhr Discovery to see what will happend
