Have you got an impressive pedalboard? From signal-to-noise ratio be damned to most efficient signal path ever, from meticulous cable management to… well, many of us know what the opposite looks like, show us what you’ve got!
I think an interesting pedalboard to start us off is the one (not mine!) that survived a tornado:
Show us your less weathered (yet still operational) pedalboards below!
Quite the endorsement of all that kit! I’d love to know the backstory.

TONEX Pedal Survives Tornado
Must have a been a great show!
Mac Mini running Amplitube… or whatever else I want. Boss Poly Shifter since that is easier to do than swapping out a guitar, and the iRig Stomp I/O for the audio interface and midi functions. Use an iPad as a monitor to see what I’m doing.
Simple and compact, built around one idea: minimal setup, maximum efficiency.
- TONEX handles amps and FX
- Polytune for tuning
- DigiTech Drop
- Stereo DI for output
- Custom switch for lead boost (hoping future TONEX Editor updates will allow editing macros directly in the app)
Less is more.
Looking to add a TONEX cab soon!
I have the Drop too. I got the Poly Shifter because I don’t like using a capo.
Here’s a picture of my little pedalboard; the order is as follows:
Tuner - Drop pedal to lower the pitch by an octave, Plethora X1 with its pitchifter for glitch mode, from there it goes to the Mimiq Doubler, its two outputs each go to a Tonex One with captures from my two high-gain amplifiers, and from there to a KMA Endgame with two high-quality IRs I created at 96kHz.
Small but it works like a charm.
That’s a really interesting setup, especially the dual Tonex into the Endgame with your own IRs, very cool idea!
I’m curious about the Plethora X1: how are you finding it in real use? I’ve had my eye on it for a while, especially for pitch/glitch stuff.
I guess I’m a weirdo, but I love things like IRs or captures because I can make my own. Of course I love download other people’s captures and IRs, but I end up using my own.
About the Plethora X1 I bought it because it was cheap and had a lot of effects I like. I have several glitch pedals and I never thought I’d like the Brainwaves because of its bad reputation. Ironically, the fact that it sounds awful is what I’ve ended up liking because of the kind of music I play.
So in the end I use the Brainwaves on the Plethora X1 and I’ve sold the other pedals I used to make glitches, which paradoxically are more expensive.
