Hey brother! I enjoy everything from 60s rock like Hendrix to the rotten sounds of Slam like Devourment or Grindcore genere and some Modern Metal like Humanity’s Last Breath . It’s a shame jih64 didn’t reply. I asked out of simple curiosity; I’m not the kind of person who enjoys confrontation.

This does sound reasonably brutal. Not sure why anyone would say you can’t do it with Tonex, if you know what you’re doing you can get a quite nasty tone with more or less anything that does distortion :sweat_smile:

Absolutely, but people often complain about the extreme gain sounds with Tonex.

It may just be I am not familiar with that type of music, I typed out a reply, listened again, I don’t know, you could get any tone you want out of TONEX. Anyway, here is the reply I typed out.

For me it’s more in the recording, the processing, clean things up you know, and by that I don’t mean turn it into Mary Popins, to me it just sounds like a big bowl of mush, there’s no definition, no separation, no clarity. I don’t mean any offence or anything. I’d record it again and paying attention to that type of thing, I don’t know, that might be how that type of music is supposed to sound, but I would highly doubt it. Take care with your production. TONEX could surely be as brutal as you want like the other dude said.

And its true, Tonex Captures 2.0 are very acurate, but some people says that is imposible to get an extreme and brutal metal tones.
