Sampletank 4 Max presets showing as “not authorized”

Hello, fellow users.

I have been using IK M products for ages. Great stuff.

I had upgraded to Sampletank 4 Max and most everything installed easily but the Miraslav pack had to be installed manually. Not sure why but despite the presets showing in the preset menu, each one is considered NOT AUTHORIZED.

I ran the Miraslav installer and pointed it to the same Sampletank folder where the rest of my presets were installed .

The same goes for a couple of the other packs that can only be installed manually. But, honestly, I’m more concerned about the Miraslav pack. That is the one I was hoping to use.

Anyone have a suggestion for steps I might have missed? Maybe you’ve run into this problem too?

Thanks

Did you buy the SampleTank 4 MAX separately, or as part of a bigger MAX bundle?

In my case, I have purchased the current “Total VI MAX 2” bundle, and there are two different versions of Miroslav Philharmonik 2 included. The “CE” version should be part of the “SampleTank 4 MAX” download you might own, while the “full” version has a separate instance in your account, along with a dedicated installer. So, if you are owning the “SampleTank 4 MAX” product, there should at least be the “MP2 CE” version available after installation of that package, for which authorization should have been automatically performed by the IK Product Manager. If you even own the bigger “Total VI MAX” bundle (or similar - where “SampleTank 4 MAX” may also be included), you should try to go for the full MP2 version with its dedicated installers. Maybe this is what you tried to install separately (but probably you don’t own the necessary licenses yet).

Hello,

I purchased the ST4 Max.

The Miraslav CE doesn’t install automatically with it and it doesn’t appear in the product manager as a separate sound pack download but, when visiting IK’s account page, it shows the three ZIp files (pt 1,2,3) that I can download. After installation, ST4 sees the pack but as “not-Authorized.” So, I have all the instruments from that pack greyed out and the pack itself listed with a lock.

I couldn’t find clear instructions from IK regarding the issue. One would think, if it’s included, it should just be in the product manager like the other sound packs.

Yes, I can confirm that there should be 3 dedicated ZIP files available for MP2 CE, all to be found in the download folder you once specified, in particular located in the “SampleTank 4 MAX” subfolder.

It’s only strange that in your case these libraries - even if included in the “SampleTank 4 MAX” package natively - won’t get automatically installed and authorized via the IK Product Manager, and you have to install the product manually instead. In case the IK Product Manager takes care of the installation (as it was for me), it will put these extracted MP2 CE libraries into your (hopefully existing and predefined) SampleTank 3 subfolder on your library target disk. But if you can anyway “see” the MP2 CE product icon in the SampleTank 4 GUI already (still which a lock sign on it), it should be correctly installed already. As you mentioned, “just” the vital authorization might still be missing, for whatever reason. As there are probably no separate MP2 CE instances to be manually authorized within IK Product Manager, have you already tried to un-authorize the complete “SampleTank 4 MAX” package there and then immediately re-authorize it again? Maybe this may help in your case, as resetting the whole authorization process for that complete package may unlock missing libraries as well. This activity should then be followed by a new folder scan within SampleTank 4 (including Sample Tank 3 and Sample Tank 4 paths as sources). Tell me if you succeeded. If not, I guess I cannot help any further and this is also another case for IK support. :frowning:

Hello again

I appreciate you replies and suggestions.

Yes, I tried the de-authorization/re-Authorization route as well as a full re-install. (Time consuming!) and all without luck. Right back where I started.

I hope IK support does respond.
