Recently i had to change something in my iLok account. While SampleTank was running fine for a couple of years, now it claims that my “grace period has expired”.
Now it’s total chaos here and no decent guidance. First, there is no trace of any IK Multimedia product in my iLok account. Secondly, the Authorization Manager claims “Internet Connenction Not Available”, which is not true. Opening the firewall etc. didn’t change anything.
So, please, having had a lot of trouble alrady (we never were able to activate our other install, despites having dealt with the support and also being entitled to have a second activation), now this broke down, and there is no decent information available, as to what to do next.
I hope that it’s understandable, that i don’t want to give up this paid product, so please give me some instruction, how to get my SampleTank 4 up and running again, ASAP.
Thanks for your assistance.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Please note we do not have any products protected with iLok. Also, IK Product Manager is the current way to install and authorize IK products and can be downloaded at IK Multimedia Product Manager
If you install that and log in, you should be able to install and authorize your products directly and without much hassle at all. Thank you.
Aha, no iLok, so no wonder. Here’s what i have managed to find out. When i use my old activation code, it brings up that error message seen below. Well, i AM that other user, actually!
So i guess, there’s email mismatch or something similar. Where can i find that account setting, to fix the issue? Like finding out, which email i am using in the first place, and to possibly reset my password.
Maybe there’s some easy solution. And for my database, at least the re-scanning of my sample database ran through.
Thanks for your prompt answer!

If you are logged in with a different account and don’t know the details of the one where you have the product registered, you’d have to contact IK Support as we would not have access to your full account data here on the forum.
Thanks, i could try that.
Is there maybe a way to look up my email address in the IK Product Manager? I only see my nick name here. Knowing which email i have used would maybe help to speed up the process. For caution reasons i am using several mail accounts for my music stuff, since i had quite a bunch of registrations and avoided using my main address.
I have filed a support ticket now, thanks Peter-IK!
If you click on the “head and shoulders” icon in the IK Product Manager, you should see a link yo your User Area. Once there, go to “My Account” and you will find your email address there.
