Tonex Update won’t open app now?

I downloaded the Tonex upgrade and Now I cannot open the Tonex main app and the Tonex editor app. But the modeler app did open. I tried to reload the application and nothing seems to work. I did turn in a request ticket a couple of days ago and haven’t heard back yet. Has anyone else had trouble?

I just updated and TONEX (all three applications) are opening without error on the latest macOS Tahoe. What operating system are you running? If different than mine, perhaps other users who match yours can chime in?

I have had the same problem with the 1.11.0. and with the 1.11.1. I also think there may have been another thread with similar issue. The installer takes a long time and the app does not open but instead there is an error message. I think the new versions do something weird with the iCloud sync. This is a problem even though I have set the documents folder as “keep always downloaded” and the “optimise Mac storage” is turned off. It is unfortunate that this folder cannot be changed to a custom folder. Here is how Claude summarises the error.

Re-installing 1.10.6 fixes the problem and it works fine.

Did you also report your issue to IK Support? They would be able to assess the issue for those having it and report it to the devs if there is a bug fix needed.

@Peter-IK No I have not filed a report yet. I was hoping that this would have been a common problem, so that others would have reported it, and would have been fixed in 1.11.1. I was not in a hurry to update. I can do the report if needed, I think I have the error code saved but I am not looking to try this version of installer again since the 1.10.6. works. I was messing around quite a bit to get it to work without success.

It doesn’t appear to be global, though, so best for anybody who is having the issue to report it so IK Support can identify anything common among those with the issue. As you can see I’m on macOS Tahoe and I use iCloud sync for everything and have not experienced this issue and I asked around 4-5 others and they are not experiencing it. We’re not on IK networks or anything either (those I asked were remote).
