Can this be done? Basically when I am onstage, I don’t carry a laptop and on last practice running the Tonex pedal into my main amp which is just running on clean tube power produced some subpar results compared to my now ageing Boss GT-100, which has its cabs disabled.
So I want to turn off the cab, but not necessarily all the time. Hopefully from the pedal menu itself. If not now I have to somehow drag a laptop and crawl on the floor in front of the amp while adjust my tones and I won’t be having much fun doing that.
I guess the other option is to pick several batches of good sounding amp models, cut off the cab option, save and then hope some of these sound good thru the amp.
You can use the Global settings to disable or enable the cab section globally. Per the User Manual:
CAB – Global cabinet bypass: enables/disables the cabinet globally on all PRESETs.
∙ ACTIVE: the cab follows the PRESET settings.
∙ BYPASS: the cab is bypassed on all PRESETs
You can also do it on per patch too, like you mention.
Can I do it from the pedal though, no computer attached?
Didn’t think that’d be a problem cause the Tonex Plug has bluetooth, so disabling there is easy.
I did get excited by the sounds I was getting so decided to follow up with the pedal but overlooked the fact that it didn’t have bluetooth.
