Trying to create the snare sound in Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Californication. I can’t get it right at all. Can anyone help?
It sounds quite a dry sound, pitched up and lots of tension and I think the drummer uses snare and rimshot (triggered by E3 modo drums). I have tried all the snares (I have the full modo drums), tensioned them all up, ptiched them all, played with coating etc etc… all the dials but still can’t get the sound.
