I did not. I sent in a ticket but haven’t heard back.
I’m experiencing the same issue in Cakewalk when using 2.02 as a plugin on existing projects. 2.02 works fine when the project is open and applied to a track. However, once the project is closed and then reopened, Sonar hangs and eventually crashes.
I’m glad it’s not just me! Seriously, I hope IK look into it as it will be a deal breaker if it crashes Sonar. Strangley, it worked fine in Trackion Waveform but if anything was going to crash I would it have expected it to be Waveform! Lovely DAW but very fussy over what plugins it can use.
This was on the list of fixes for 2.0.2. Please make sure you are updated to that version (information is in the first post) and if you still encounter this issue you can contact IK Support and they’ll sort it out for you.
The team will continue to work on updates to TONEX 2.0 Player Public Beta and when an updated version is available it will be announced here. If you have a technical issue that you’ve reported to IK Support you can get a status update by replying to your ticket. Thank you.
Hey brother did you find a fix? I’m getting the same thing. I’ve been trying to figure it out for days.
Not a thing. I updated my correspondence with IK today to see if there are any updates to this issue.
I have done clean reinstalls, graphics updates and system integrity checks with no resolution.
Same here. I have reached out again. I don’t know much about computers. I’ve just about deleted everything I can find. Now my close and resize buttons are missing on my windows. lol. I did get the software into the installer. That doesn’t work either, same outcome. If I get it working you’ll be the first to know.
backed out to 1.12.1 but decided to give 2.0.2 another try. Unfortunately now it won’t even start on windows. I even tried a clean install through uninstall and by removing registry entries as recommended through my previous trouble tickets. I watch it spawn in task manager and it dies right away. Went back to 1.12.1 again. My db is huge so I was going to see if 2.0.2 searches faster. I guess not.
The new TONEX 2.0.x GUI is using JUCE 8.0.7. It would be nice to update to JUCE 8.0.13 or higher, since in the meantime the JUCE team has improved several features.
FEATURE REQUEST
Auto load toggle switch is not present for presets as it is in the tone model browser. Any chance we could get that added?
I’ve noticed if you want to delete an IR in tonex 2.0 beta you have to do one at a time.
It’s a long process if you you need to delete multiples.
I’ve got about 400 to get rid of.
A delete all would help
Many thanks to you all
Shift & left click to select multiple IR files?
Appreciated Peter
Thank you for replying to my email
formerly in v1, if you tried to copy a .txp already found in the database/Tonex it would give you the option to overwrite or skip. This was painful as there was no option to ‘do the same’ for future events. In v2 however, it is not asking anything so I assume it just overwrites it which is bad. Sometimes I make different .txp files on different systems so I need the choice.
it would appear that player 2 has a database size limitation. i was able reproduce this on 2 separate machines. 73MB library2.db Tonex no longer starts. ~50000 tone models
process immediately dies in task manager. move the db file and database folder out of documents, starts up fine. put it back. instant failure.
Nah, mine is 288MB and no issues.
You got some other problem, like a corrupt db file or something.
You should be using the ASIO driver for your interface. Windows Audio is likely the issue there.
After installing the new beta version of TONEX 2, I was impressed by its graphical interface and the high quality of some textures in AMP. Excellent work! Truly beautiful.
I tested TONEX 2 on a laptop and then on a large TV. I can confidently say that using TONEX 2 on a laptop has become uncomfortably difficult. The problem is that you need a SECOND MONITOR to prevent the open window with presets and folders from obstructing the main window’s beauty.
With two monitors, everything flows smoothly. On one screen, you have the amplifier open, while on the other, you can view the presets or tone models, making everything convenient.
Do you recall my mention of the large TV?
I connected a second computer to the TV, hoping to fit both the main window and the presets window on a single screen for comfortable use (due to the TV’s size, everything would be visible). However, even on such a large screen, I needed a SECOND TV for proper use of the TONEX 2 program.
I’m astonished… I’ve never encountered a program that requires TWO monitors for comfortable use… Otherwise, it’s impractical.
