Hi guys,
I have a problem that some other people are having with the iLoud Sub. My subwoofer emits a high-frequency squeal and noise that’s audible through my studio monitors. The squeal isn’t very loud, but it’s noticeable when I’m working.
I swapped everything. My monitors are Neumann KH120 II, before the iLoud Micros. The problem was there with the Micros, to I bought the Neumanns as I thought the RCA connection wasn’t good enough.
Tested on a laptop and a PC, on both with two different sound interfaces, did everything to be done with the software and stuff. Tested with Furman and without.
Again: the squeal is not heard in the sub, it’s only in the monitors, so testing the sub alone will not reveal anything.
I did everything there is to be done. I bought the sub new. As it is, I cannot use it, and I’m past the return date. Does anyone have a solution? [mod redacted - unnecessary and review the guidelines when posting] As it is, I can’t even play games with it, not to mention use it for studio work, as the squeal and noise just drive me insane.
What can be done apart from throwing the thing out the window?
Best,
Tom
