Topics Closing Request

I had a top in the Instruments area titled "SampleTank 4 Macro Dials Resetting"

Someone posted a workaround and someone else with the same issue clicked the button to accept this as a solution and now the topic is closed.

I would have liked to have replied and said something like “this is a workaround and not a solution”. It’s a good work workaround to be fair but really not what the end solution should be.

Is it possible to stop threads from closing if someone accepts a post as a solution? If this has to happen can it be the thread owner only that can do it? If anyone can close the thread then I think going forward it will cause more trouble than is worth it.

That was a solution for OP, in FL Studio (and likely other DAWs) you need to enable the automation in order for said controls to remain automated to retain the settings for the macros. The closure of threads that are solved for the OP is a feature of the new forum software and is meant to keep the forum tidy. The previous forum would have threads run amok with nothing getting solved, solutions missed, or lots of extraneous information for people to sift through for a solution, etc.

This new forum is also visible for anybody so it needs to stay clean and clear about issues and if that solution does not work for you or you feel it is something that needs to change on the software side, you can either open a Feature Request thread to see if others agree and/or (likely better in your situation) report it to IK Support for direct technical assistance and if a bug is found they will open a request with the developers.

I understand the motive, it was just a bit frustrating; I was the original poster and the workaround was accepted on my behalf as a solution.

Having to set 8 automations for each instrument as standard is not very reasonable but will take the advice and create a feature request.
