Resing ai engine unreachable

Hi team,

I am running the standalone version of ReSing (v1.1.2) on a brand-new 2024 M4 iMac running macOS Tahoe (v26.5.2). I am completely stuck on the “AI Engine Unreachable” startup error.

I have gone through extensive technical troubleshooting to isolate the issue, and it appears the background ReSingEngine process is crashing instantly upon initialization. Here is what I have verified and tried so far:

1. Port Status: I used the Terminal command sudo lsof -P -i :50000 both while the app was closed and during the exact moment of launch. No other third-party background applications or printing processes are occupying or blocking the default port.

2. Port Override Verification: I manually created a plain-text port.txt file inside ~/Library/Application Support/IK Multimedia/ReSing/ReSingEngine to force a different port (51515). The log file successfully updated to show it was trying to connect to the new port, but the engine still refuses to connect. The log file now explicitly reads:

* connecting to tcp://127.0.0.1:51515

  \* server not found

  \* server still not connected

  This confirms the network ports are completely clear, but the local background server itself is completely failing to launch or respond.

3. Cache & Settings Reset: I have cleared out the settings.properties file, emptied the Caches/IK Multimedia/ReSing directory, and wiped the Application Support configuration files to force a clean reset.

4. Permissions & Emulation: I cleared the macOS quarantine flags using sudo xattr -cr /Applications/ReSing.app and enabled “Open using Rosetta” in the Finder Get Info panel.

Despite all of this, the local engine still refuses to connect. Given the new macOS Tahoe environment and M4 architecture, it seems to be an OS-level framework incompatibility with build 1.1.2.

Could you please provide a direct download link for an alternative or previous stable patch installer (such as v1.1.0) that might bypass this background engine crash?

Thank you for your help!

The moderators/admins nor users would have a link for a patch for you but if you reach out to IK Support they will be able to assist you directly.

You can see Past Releases for most products in your IK Product Manager, too. Note that may not fix this issue so it is still recommended to contact IK Support for technical assistance.
