Add more algorithms without changing block structure
Problem / Use Case:
Limited variety of effects available, this would be for those who need very compact rigs, also a show of goodwill and continued support to those who can’t buy Tonex Board at it’s price point but who have bought and actively use other products.
Proposed Solution:
The Pedal/One/One+ have limitations which prevent the expansion of the routing, blocks, complexity of what it does, but what has NOT been mentioned often is the idea of expanding the range of algorithms available under delays, reverbs, or in the comp block. And you’ve HAD all the algorithms to do this in Amplitube for a decade, so they’ll run on old hardware! Suggest adding the amplitube algorithms in each category that would fit into the available memory constraints. For example, adding echo man to the delay section, adding boost/distortion to the comp block, or adding a hall or modulated reverb to the reverb block. This gives existing users more value which could stimulate loyalty for future purchases. A move to add more algorithms and therefore options to the existing tonex lines especially since the one+ just came out and allows midi control of those parameters, would be a welcome addition. We know you need to differentiate the product lines, just give us a few more effect options in the given structure:
- Comp: Basics. Let it be a comp, the cae/mxr boost, a tube screamer, or a fuzz
- Mod: The current stuff is fine. No need to change it unless you could add the univibe
- Delay: Add the echo man, and some kind of tape with wow and flutter
- Reverb: a hall reverb pref. with modulation and longer decays
Priority / Impact:
High - this would be a TREMENDOUS value add that I think the existing hardware could handle
