Hi there,
I am an active registered TONEX ONE user . ( i can provide my registration serial if needed)
Recently , i borrowed a TONEX PEDAL from someone, a reseller, to try and hooked it up yo my MAC . It first asked for a firmware update and starting to proceed . Soon it said UPDATE FAILURE . Right after that TONEX PEDAL did not display anything on the screen and will not connect via USB. The unit has the orange internal lights on, so I know it has power. But other than that, no signs of life.
A friend of mine said that i cannot perform an update, nor use the TONEX PEDAL that is registered by somebody else .
He briefed me on how the system works and if i get a second hand TONEX PEDAL , i can only use it as a stand alone unit, just like a physical pedal . I can not use the Tonex ecosystem , thus can neither update the pedal nor use the Tonex sotware or editor to shape the sounds etc.
As i will be returning THE TONEX PEDAL to the reseller for the above mentioned reasons, i kindly ask anyone or an IK SUPPORT rep who sees this message to guide me on how to somehow reset the pedal and get rid of that blackout mode so the pedal can operate normally as stand alone .
