Connect pre-amp of Amp 1 to power amp of Amp 2 via FX loop featuresOK, I know IKM backed away from the AT2-era features that let you mix and match pre-amps, power-amps, EQ stacks, etc.
But ...It occurs to me that there is (I think!) a virtual FX loop, between the pre- and power amps, that is built-in to every amp model -- even models of amps that, historically, had no FX loops. This implies that the "virtual" pre- and power-amp sections of each amp model are separate.
Thus ...It seems to me that a super-cool routing feature would be the capacity to run the signal out of any given amp's pre-amp via the FX loop (as normal) but, then, instead of running the signal back into the power amp of the
same amp, run the signal back into the power amp of a
different amp (essentially via its FX loop return).
In other words, there'd be a routing feature that let you "break" the current "simple" FX loop by turning it into a link between one amp (or it's FX loop "out") and another (or its FX loop "in").
