I am using the free version of ReSing as the trial seems to be the exact same program as it only gave me two models, and no matter what I do I can only get it to create 16-bit files. I am inputting 24 bit files, and have tried both standalone and through my DAW with a 24-bit project and 24-bit audio and it keeps spitting out 16-bit files. Does ReSing not output 24-bit audio files? There is zero information on the internet about the limitations of the free version, I spent too much time googling last night to no avail of getting this info. Thanks.
I don’t see that listed on the Specs nor comparison but have you reached out to IK Support to see if they can confirm/verify?
No Peter, I figured this is a very simple question that can be answered and that I would ask here rather than go through the annoyance of creating a support ticket for a free product. I am interested in purchasing the Max version but if it doesn’t export 24bit files it’s a deal breaker. Do I really need to create a support ticket and wait several days for a response??
*I’ll just submit a ticket. Would think I could just get an answer here
This is not a support forum, other users can chime in but any support questions that I or other moderators can’t answer can be asked directly. I also forwarded your question to see if it can be clarified in the materials once it is definitively answered.
Well, day 3 and still waiting. If anyone that owns ReSing reads this can someone please kindly confirm if their paid version of ReSing still outputs only 16bit audio files if given 24bit files to process?
For a $200 software (Max) I wouldn’t expect this information to be difficult to obtain…
I heard back after reaching out directly and can confirm that ReSing (all versions) output 16-bit files.
Thank you so much! That’s very sad information to hear especially in 2026 when nearly everybody is working at 24-bit or higher. I truly hope they add 24-bit support, because until then not purchasing. Thanks again.
Your DAW should convert the files properly with no sonic impact, but I understand and have relayed your thoughts.
It does of course, and I get that in a full mix a few vocals at 16bit up-converted would have no noticeable difference really then 24-bit files. But for the cost I’ll wait till it’s implemented ![]()
