I put a new song in my music website called “Seen With Your Eyes”; it’s the song on top. I used Tonex guitar amp modeling and effects for the slide guitar parts. Please tell me how you like the song, and how it can be improved, and I will return the favor! Leave me a link if you don’t have a recent link. Here is my link:
Hey Aaron!
I really enjoyed the dark atmosphere of the track. There’s something very moody and cinematic about it, and the intro with the vocalizations honestly reminded me a bit of the GazettE (Japanese visual kei band), which I absolutely mean as a compliment. It has that emotional vibe that pulls you into the song immediately. The song also has that hypnotic quality that some The Cure songs have, and for me that’s definitely a huge plus. The slide guitar tones also work really well in this context, and the Tonex sounds feel expressive and organic.
Regarding the production, I think a lot of it comes down to personal taste, but if it were my mix I would probably approach the instrument placement a bit differently. In particular, I’d experiment with opening up the stereo image more on instruments like synths and guitars, to create an even wider atmosphere. On the other hand, I’d personally keep the drums, especially kick and snare, tighter and more focused in the center of the mix, so they anchor the song more firmly.
But overall, great work and a very evocative track. Thanks for sharing it!

paZ,
Thank you for listening and commenting! I really appreciate it. The Cure is one of my favorite bands, so I will take that as a compliment!
Hi Aaronaardvark,
Liked the track. I can definitely hear the Cure influence on this one. I liked how the drums were farther back in the mix and the effects you had on the lead vocals, it fits the style of the tune. Looking forward to hearing more keep them coming.
