Hi,
I just purchased an immersive bundle from IK with 11 MTM MKIIs. These speakers come with a curved bottom and only attachments to have the speaker on a desktop or on it’s side using bundled platters. . The only rear attachment is a microphone stand hole in the bottom there are two holes, one at an angle - to facilitate.
I am going to need to put 4 of these speakers over head and my ceiling is low at 2m 240mm/ 2.45 yards.
The speaker stands IK provide might do the job, but cost £600 in total, which is too much. I am looking for something suitable from Ebay.
Alternatively, I am good at DIY but the issue is the curved bottom and teh oly way to attach the bottom to anything, is via this mic stand hole, the diameter is not in the specs. 3/8ths?
I am dreaming of C shaped clamps for the ceiling, with holes. Think strip of paper, mark a “hole” each end, bend the paper.
Anyone got any creative ideas?
Z
NB: could I suggest a better design for the included attachments? No need to alter the speaker, just more holes and a more utilitarian shape.
