Since the IK Multimedia website migration on October 12, 2026, the Chinese website (cn.ikmultimedia.com) has been redirecting to the international website (ikmultimedia.com). However, existing Chinese accounts can no longer log in using their original credentials.
Several Chinese users have reported similar issues on this forum, including inaccessible accounts, missing product licenses, and problems with IK Product Manager.
I have already contacted both the regional Chinese support team and IK Multimedia’s Italian headquarters via email, but the issue remains unresolved.
Additional Issue: IK Product Manager Cannot Launch Properly on a Chinese Network
When launching IK Product Manager from mainland China using a Chinese network connection, I encounter the following error:
“This version of IK Product Manager is no longer supported.”
However, the update window displays:
-
Installed version: 1.1.16
-
Latest version: 1.1.16
Despite both versions being identical, the application still requires me to download and reinstall version 1.1.16 before proceeding.
This appears to be an update or version verification issue rather than simply an outdated installation. It may be related to the recent website migration or regional network connectivity, although I cannot confirm the cause.
I have attached a screenshot showing the contradictory version information.
Questions for IK Multimedia
-
Has the Chinese account system been discontinued or merged into the international platform?
-
Why are existing Chinese accounts unable to log in, and how can access be restored?
-
Will products, licenses, and purchase histories previously registered through Chinese accounts be preserved?
-
Can Chinese users migrate their accounts and licenses to the international system?
-
Why does IK Product Manager report version 1.1.16 as unsupported while simultaneously identifying 1.1.16 as the latest version?
-
Is IK Multimedia aware of any regional network or server compatibility issues affecting Product Manager users in mainland China?
-
Is there an official solution or estimated timeline for resolving these problems?
These issues are preventing Chinese customers from reliably accessing and managing their legitimately purchased IK Multimedia products.
I understand that individual account issues may require support tickets. However, the status of the Chinese account system, the preservation of existing licenses, and the Product Manager update issue deserve a public explanation.
I would appreciate it if an IK Multimedia representative, particularly @Peter-IK, could investigate these issues and escalate them to the relevant technical team.
Thank you.
