Amplitube favourite presets?

Seems an obvious thing, but is there any way to favourite / star your saved presets?

When you save a preset there is a star on that page, but it doesn’t seem to do anything.

Anyone? Is there no ability to favourite a preset?

I saved a preset and then starred it in the list (click the folder next to the preset name) and it worked:

You don’t favorite the preset when you are saving it. That star will be filled if you are saving an already-favorited preset or will be empty if you are saving a new or non-favorited preset.

Thanks, I can see where my problem is, but not how to fix it - my list of presets doesn’t populate.

I can find them all by clicking the preset name then by folder, but not from the main UI like you can… any ideas?

hit refresh button right next to the words PRESET BROWSER in your first picture

Thanks but tried hitting Refresh a dozen times. I can see it briefly locate the presets but the list never populates.

This is what happens after hitting Refresh, I can see it cycle through presets in this modal, but the main list never populates correctly.

Check the gear selector setting. You can toggle between gear you own, gear you don’t, or everything. That button also filters presets.

Thanks, do you mean this ‘gear’ selector on the right?

I’ve toggled through every option, refreshing the preset browser each time, but still nothing…

I thought OneDrive might have been causing problems, as technically my preset path is:

C:\Users\(user)\OneDrive\Documents\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 5\Presets

But even if I copy my presets to:
C:\Users\(user)\Documents\IK Multimedia\AmpliTube 5\Presets

The preset list remains empty…

I found another post relating to OneDrive and suggesting checking the registry for the preset path which I’ve done, and both the OneDrive and non-OneDrive preset paths are listed in the registry.

If none of those suggestions have worked, I suggest you contact IK Support and they can troubleshoot and assist with your issue. Thank you.

you might have to delete the presets.db file thats located at the default amplitube presets location. you stated that you have two locations with presets in the folders, do any of those folders have presets.db in it? if so, delete it. This is the database that gets updated with every amplitube start and sometimes during the usage.

could also be that you dont have permissions to edit this file at the location it exists. you can check the properties of the file and should see your username under the security tab. If your username doesn’t exist, you should proabbly go to the parent folder of wherever the presets.db file is located and make sure you have permission setup for that folder all files and folders below it(enable inheritance)

in my experience, this is usually the problem with presets and general amplitube/sampletank usage.

THANK YOU @skinnygriftin for that suggestion - deleting the presets.db file then restarting fixed it!
Thanks everyone for your help on this.
