Hello everyone,
I’m hoping someone here can help because I’ve completely run out of ideas troubleshooting this issue with AmpliTube 5. I use Reaper for all my music.
I’ve been using AmpliTube 5 for years without any problems. Recently, I transferred some older project files from my previous computer to a new PC, and ever since then I’ve been getting the periodic hiss/static feedback noise that normally happens when unauthorized or trial gear is loaded.
The confusing part is:
-
All of my products are fully paid for and authorized
-
IK Product Manager shows everything as authorized and up to date
-
I’ve restored purchases and reauthorized multiple times
-
I’ve reinstalled AmpliTube 5 several times
-
I manually deleted installation folders before reinstalling
-
I checked my signal chains/presets and confirmed that no trial or unowned gear is loaded
Despite all of that, the hiss/static noise still appears every few seconds.
What’s even more frustrating is that the issue has now started affecting completely new projects that used to work perfectly. The problem only began after importing older projects from my previous computer.
At this point, my best guesses are:
-
Old project metadata may still be referencing unauthorized gear internally
-
Some cached authorization data became corrupted during migration
-
AmpliTube may be falsely detecting unowned content somewhere in the background
Does anyone know:
-
How to identify exactly which component or preset is triggering the authorization noise?
-
How to fully reset or remove all cached authorization/preset data?
-
Whether this is a known issue when importing older projects onto a new machine?
I’d really appreciate any concrete troubleshooting advice because I’ve already exhausted the usual reinstall and reauthorization steps multiple times.
Thanks in advance.
