I can't turn my iloud Micro monitors up

I used to be able to turn the volume up louder than what I am able to now. I know they clip and turn off momentarily for protection, but I used to be able to crank them up to a decent amount before clipping. This just started happening now after I had not been using them for about a month. Anything that I can do about this?
