Catalina and Sampletank 3

Will Sampletank 3 eventually be compatible with OSX Catalina or must I upgrade to Sampletank 4? How does this work? Thanks. Jay

SampleTank 3 is at this point an older product which will no longer be receiving updates. The best route forward would be to jump into SampleTank 4. The latest version SampleTank 4.0.8 will work on macOS 10.15.

Read more on macOS 10.15 Catalina support in the news here. There is a link to our FAQ which will be updated with news on this topic.

Do note, SampleTank 4 and the difference versions are currently on promotion. Read more here:

If you purchase an iRig Keys I/O product, you will received with SampleTank 4 MAX. Read more here:

It is 64-bit.

I do not know OSX / Catalina but there may be a way to work around the problems?

Is this relevant? https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=226059

As always with any updates to any OS, make a clone of your working system before you upgrade. Then, if you get any nasty surprises from any software you can revert back to your working system.

Even though most developers are warning against upgrading to Catalina just yet, there are reports on user forums that most software (not 32-bit apps, obvs) is working fine. YMMV.

Personally, unless you really want the new bells and whistles of updating an OS, if you have a working system then stick with that and certainly don't upgrade anything mid-project. :o

PS: it would be best to change your Account Name away from an email address, to minimise the chance of it being harvested by web bots and you receiving all sorts of 'special offers' etc from all over the place for years and years. You can change it here:.
