MP2 setting button causes CTD

MP2 works fine with my midi keybrd in stand alone mode but used as a plugin in my DAW (Reaper) the note stays on
until I hit the note in the plugin with the mouse, and then that note cant be played again. I click
the setting button in the plugin and it crashes to desk top. I have a M-Audio Oxygen 8 midi keyboard (its old but works with all other plugins). I use windows 10 and a Focusrite interface.
Any advice?
