I think you've probably fallen foul of the default Mojave Security & Privacy settings trying to be helpful
Go to System Preferences>Security & Privacy and under the Privacy tab you should see Microphone in the left-hand column. Click on that and then select which apps you want to have access to the microphone. Although it is labelled slightly counter-intuitively, this should allow audio to pass from your interface into whatever apps you select. You'll need to do this when you install a DAW and any other standalone audio apps.
Hope that sorts out the issue - let us know if it does.
FYI - ASIO is Windows only, so you won't see that on a Mac.
