[Resolved] T racks 5 in Amplitube bundle - for free or not?

Postby achimwalter » Sat Sep 28, 2019 2:16 pm

Hi everybody,
after many years of noodling along with amplitube in standalone mode i started a few days ago the long long journey of getting into the daw/recording world.
I choose reaper as a recommendation in the community (thanks to Francois).
After some time of trial and error and many youtube sessions it works great with amplitube.
So i additionally installed and registered (succesfully according to the overview in "my products"!) t racks 5 today. I got it as a goodie with my amplitube bundle.
BUT... Running it in reaper directly after the installation it worked well.
However after starting reaper a second time and activating t racks i got the message to try or buy it and got that typicall periodically hiss.
So to make a long story short: Is t racks delivered with amplitube for free or not? Why do i get that message to buy it after running my daw the second time after the installation?
Any help is highly appreciated.
Thanks i advance....

Hi achimwalter

Sorry to hear you're having some troubles.

Generally, if you have bought just AmpliTube 4, T-RackS 5 is not included as part of it. There will be a free (Custom Shop) version available in your User Area, but this is irrespective of any purchase.

However, if you've bought some hardware that comes with a software bundle, TR5 may well have come as part of that. What exactly did you buy?

Also, I guess that if you run the free edition of T-RackS and try loading a preset that has gear that you do not have you may well get the Try or Buy prompt.

DarkStar and garfy, thanks for the quick response.
Indeed the version i received with amplitube 4 was the custom shop version of T Rack - whatever that may be...
So to get rid of the limitations, hissing and pop up messages i bought T-RackS 5 ONE today and - it is worth every cent. Never had such a BIG digital guitar tone before... I do not really know what i am doing but putting a random T Rack 5 comp preset after amplitube the guitar tones are tight, precise and huge as never before...
So i am more than happy at the moment but have to dig much deeper into the matter (DAWs, reaper, recording, etc.). I am sure more questions will follow - so lets stay in touch.
Your support is highly appreciated
