I am ving difficulty using Amplitube 4 with automation as a plug-in. Can I record my moves in standalone mode instead ?

Unfortunately, there is no way to record automation within the AT4 standalone.

What DAW/OS are you using? Talk us through what you are doing to record automation with the plugin and hopefully someone will chime in with some pointers for you to follow.

Thanks for your help !!! I have a guitar track already recorded. I want to turn on and off the stomp delay as needed as the song plays. I am using Audition CC 2019 and I have MacBook Pro OS High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G5019). Can I use AT 4 as a standalone and record moves like bypass(on/off) and then load it back into Audition ?

This would not be possible as AT4 needs to be open within Audition for automation to be available.

Having looked at the manual for Audition, you definitely can use and automate 3rd party plugins. Details for automation are on page 195 of their PDF.

However, you need to make sure that Audition can 'see' the parameters you want to automate. To do this you have to assign a parameter number to the element you want to automate in AT4, in your case on/off switches of stomps. Details of how to assign parameter numbers in AT4 are on page 84 of the User Guide.

Hope that helps.
