Volume expressionpedal in ST

Postby lagerstrom » Tue Apr 16, 2019 3:37 pm

Hi friends,
I'm trying to get Sampletank to accept the midi #7 information coming from my Korg EXP-2 footpedal. I thought it be nice to try using ST live since I am doing orchestral parts on keyboards for an upcoming show. Never did that with sampletank. But I can't 'learn' sampletank' to connect the volume info to the Swell knob in 'String Orchestra Alt'.
Best would be that all of Sampletank would just respond to that midi information. All other hardware and sofsynths I have do. Is there something I'm missing?
I'm running the pedal through a Yamaha CP300 keyboard on input pedal 4 set to midi #7

Thanks for any idea's,
Eric

Depending on What else you have going, you should be able to just right click on the volume of that channel and click midi learn, and move the pedal...done.

Hope this helps

Thanks,
That's what I thought and did. But it doesn't work.
No other special things going on. A default session with an uneditted sound. It feels almost as if Sampletank filters #7 out. No reactions on the pedalmovements. While 'Mainstage' 'cubase' etc etc all respond to it. Just to be clear...In this situation I do not have any other programs running.
I wonder...

I agree with ski88keys about opening a ticket with support https://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/

I've just checked and successfully mapped my volume control (CC#7) to the Swell macro of the patch that you noted and it worked first time.

Thanks,
Yes, I tried that. And I also opened a support ticket. We should get it to work.
