IRIG pre HD with iPhone 8 or iPad running 12.2

My Irig pre HD works fine with my clip on mic for my trombone when I run it through my computer, but I cannot get it to recognize properly on my phone or my ipad. When I try amplitube, it says that there is a digital interface attached, but it doesn't recognize any sound when I play.

Any troubleshooting suggestions?

I'm not sure what could cause that, but I'd recommend perhaps trying a free app like iRig Recorder to make sure you are getting sound from iRig Pre HD as AmpliTube may be a little different being mainly used with guitars. iRig Recorder would give a better general idea of whether you are getting signal from a mic preamp like iRig Pre HD at least to start troubleshooting.

I'd also recommend opening a ticket with IK Support at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support if you have not done so already as they can assist you directly and officially.
