SampleTank 4 MAX is not part of Total Studio 2 MAX. Users who purchased Total Studio 2 MAX after a certain date receive SampleTank 4 SE free per the news at https://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?id=sampletank4 -

Previous versions: Any customer who purchases or receives any version of SampleTank 3 as part of a hardware or software bundle on or after November 13, 2018, will receive SampleTank 4 SE for free at release.

I have also a problem. Instruments are not authorized, despite all steps for install. Now available is ST4 Sampler only.

The Installation is a nightmare !!!
Downloading, extracting and installing all these packages will take half a day!
Wouldn´t it be possible to provide one large file?

Also there seem to be missing a lot of parts. For instance pianos parts 2,8 and 9-12 are available but parts 1,3,4,5,6,7 are missing ???

Hi, if you’ve definitely authorized your SampleTank 4 MAX serial number in Authorization Manager and have installed all sounds then IK Support will need to help directly via that ticket.

I feel ive been mislead here ...I would not have purchased Total Studio MAX 2 if Id had known I would get just the SE version... I should at least receive Sampletank 4 as quoted if not MAX version...

Sorry to hear that you are not happy with the experience. According to a user in the other thread their download and installation experience was flawless so if you're not having the same experience and having troubles, you may wish to seek official IK Support at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support for assistance.

We would not offer one large file as that would definitely be the definition of a nightmare to download, unpack, and install for sure. With regard to what parts you have in your account, that would be based on which version you have (SE, SampleTank 4, or MAX) and if you have any questions about the specifics there you may also want to ask IK Support for assistance directly.

The link I posted has stated SampleTank 4 SE is what would apply for those who received SampleTank via a hardware or software bundle since the announcement date, so you would need to contact the person who you feel lead you to believe you were getting something else directly for assistance.

Neither the mods/admins nor users of this forum are able to directly access the appropriate information about your account, etc and would not be able to assist with this type of issue directly.

I will send support tickets to IK, but wow am I getting a lot of crashing - both in Win10 Pro 1809 and Win7. Generating crash dumps now to send along. Hopefully sortable. Still downloading sounds anyhow.
