Irig Stomp I/O needs new mode?

Hallo,
Thank you for creating this device.
Stomp I/O has one big minus but i think that it has potential to solve this minus, maybe in new firmware. Stomp I/O needs mode like BlueBoard = sending note on and note off messages for 4 switches (or other midi messages but not only when switch is released).
I understand, that switch-pressing is reserved for change modes, but when you use Mainstage, or similar host, with this switching-philosophy is potential of this device very reduced

?is possible to change mode in this way?
?is this new mode in plan in next firmware?
