Sound problem with Amplitube 4 [Resolved]

Postby jem7sk » Wed Jan 02, 2019 9:15 pm

I have Amplitube 4 Max and love it but it sounds wrong now. When I play I can hear the cool over driven tones I know and love but there is a drone in the background almost like a the natural note of a clean amp. It happens on all of my presets.

Anybody got a clue what is messed up and how to fix?

It sounds like you may want to reach out to support. Let them know your platform and operating system version you are using. They should be able to make some suggestions and get you working here.

Are you sure you're not also hearing some of the original 'unaffected' sound in your monitor mix as well?

Also, are you listening on headphones or studio speakers? If you're using speakers, unless you have it ridiculously loud, you still might be hearing the pick/string sound from the actual guitar you're playing.

I think it might be the unaffected sound you mentioned... how do I resolve this? I'm using a Scarlette 2i2 interface.

Nevermind and thanks all! Dumb nub mistake that I would have never figured out without Garfy reminding me I was getting the original signal mixed.. just had to turn off the Direct Monitor switch on the 2i2 duhh. Thanks!
