hello. maybe someone can help me .. since the ios12 update my pro duo isn't working..do i have to update the firmware? also, can i use a windows laptop to update it even though I am using it on an ipad pro ?

While you should always update your firmware to the latest, there is no specific iRig Pro DUO firmware update for iOS 12 and it should not be necessary. Seems that is not typical behavior so I'd recommend opening a ticket with IK Support so they can troubleshoot directly and get your issue resolved.
