Anyone using AT3 ipad for live rigs? I'm having problems with volume.

I've got my ipad air into irig hd2 straight into an alto ts312.
Irig volume is full, irig gain is on about 1/3.
Amplitube output volume is set so that a hard kerrang just stays below redline but everything else is as loud as possible.
Amps within amplitube are at full whack.
The alto ts312 is a 1k rms speaker but I'm struggling to be heard whereas my hundred Watt head and cabinet would blow everyone away.
The speaker is up to the maximum 'safe' volume.
