iRig Mic & iPhone 8 Plus

Purchased an iRig mic and it just won’t work with my phone.
Will work on an iPad but I do not want to use it with that.
Also know of someone using an iPhone 7 and having the same issue.
Only sound getting picked up when plugged in is from the built in mic.

Any suggestions?

iRig Mic should work with your iPhone 8 Plus if you use the included Lightning --> 3.5mm adapter that was included with your phone.
