Amplitube 4 MAX crackling & Latency [RESOLVED]

Postby DStuyck » Sun Jul 29, 2018 4:03 pm

Hey all,

I'm using Amplitube 4 MAX with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 2nd gen. Whenever I startup the Amplitube 4 standalone I either have crackling, latency or both. When I up the buffer size to 2048 it eliminates the crackling, but I still have a ton of latency. What can be done about this?

Kind regards

You should be able to go much lower in buffer size with that interface and AmplITube combination. I suggest working directly with IK Support at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/ to see if there's something else going on that is causing the issue.

Hey Peter, thanks a lot for the reply. I actually fixed it by selecting the AIOS and fiddling around with it from there. Seems to work perfectly now, thanks :)

Great, I would also recommend making sure you are using the latest version of the official drivers for your interface always.
