EQual makes cubase 8.5 pro crash

hi all, wonder if anyone out there can offer some advice on EQual. everytime i try to use it as a plug in, it makes cubase close down! i have the t racks deluxe and so far, every other plug in works great, just EQual seems to have the issue. to be fair, i have only just bought it, 5days ago, so i could have missed out some setting in my impatience to get at it. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in anticipation

That isn't expected behavior, of course. I would suggest opening a ticket with IK Support as they can troubleshoot with you directly and help you resolve this issue at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/contact-support/mi/

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

One thing to check: start up the standalone T-RackS 5 program and see if EQual crashes there too.

just checked in standalone mode and it said 'tracks has stopped working'
so there you go...any thoughts before i send a support ticket?

Only a vague one - I think that I read that the graphics handling in EQual was different from that it the other plug-ins.

Send in the ticket - it could be worth including full details of your graphics card / sub-system. Can you get a system dump from the T-RackS crash? That might be handy, too.

My graphic card support OGL 2.1; there are some plug-ins from other developers that I have rejected as they require OGL 3.x

great! thanks for checking that out. i havent updated my graphics card since forever i think, i have kept the comp offline except for purchases and registrations etc. i will get on it right after dinner.
