Hi IK team and Peter,
congrats on the release of MP2! :D Now I'm happily reading the manuals and then found the Cart icon on the MP2 interface. Does that mean I can expect expansion libraries for MP2 down the road?
I know it's too early to ask and I should more focus on tapping into the new MP2 first, though. Haha.

A couple of questions:
1) Does installing MP2 overwrite the original MP?

If yes then I'm all set. If no then a few more questions:

1) I'm ready to download/install but I wonder if I should remove the original MP first?
2) Does MP2 include all the stuff the original MP has plus new?

I believe it is a separate installation for v2. You may want to keep both if you have projects that are utilizing v1. So this way, you can go into your projects, switch the instruments over to v2 and save.

I don't think there is a way to relink to v2 if there are older projects utilizing v1.

Sounds logical. Thanks ;)

1) Nope

1) No, you will probably want to keep the old MP, software and library, for your old projects
2) Yes

You can, I reckon:
-- load a project that uses MP1,
-- save the instruments as as an MP1 "Combi",
-- remove MP1 from the project,
-- insert MP2,
-- Import the MP1 Combi as an MP2 "Multi",
-- load that Multi into MP2,
-- save the project with a slightly different name

You may need to make a few adjustments to the controls in MP2 to get exactly the same sound. And I do not know if MP2 automatically adds the CSR Reverb to the instruments as a Send (as MP1 did).

keep getting a 'Path too long' error when trying to unzip the 1st sound file. Using windows 7 x64.

I have moved the zip file down to a folder one level above root but continue to get the error.
Tried giving support a call but that is no longer possible so looks like I will need to fill out a support form.

Kind regards,
Rick

I am getting the same error (Error: 0x80010135: Path Too Long) with zip file #1 & 6. All others extracted correctly. I am downloading both a third time to try again.

This error is not due to an corrupted archive file. Its because Windows has a maximum path length limitation of 260 characters.
I had the same problem. One solution is to extract the zip files to the root of the hard drive ( for example C:), so that the path gets not too long.
