I already have ST3 and Miroslav 1 and use their sounds in some arrangements. How should I install Miroslav 2 after upgrade to preserve my current settings in arrangements that use ST3 and MP1? What happens if I first uninstall MP1 and then install MP2? Will my sounds automatically be remapped to the new ones?

hello VagifAbilov and welcome to the forum.

Think of MP2 as a different plug-in. Its library will not replace the MP1 or ST3 libraries (but the MP2 instruments may be installed into a folder within the ST3 instruments, I'm not sure).

I cannot see that there will be any automatic remapping to the MP2 instruments (after all, there wasn't any to go from ST2 to ST3(; keep MP1 and its library installed.

Thank you for the answer. Does this mean that MP2 will finally be native 64-bit VST plugin? With MP1 I had to load it from within ST3.

Yes, MP2 is a 64-bit plug-in and standalone program, It uses the same engine as ST3. There is no 32-bit MP2 plug-in.

Anyway, it would be interesting to know if those "new recordings" are leftovers from the past or really Miro was resurrected again for new recording sessions? I hardly believe the 2nd. Nowdays with all the social media etc. a few videos about the recording sessions and detailed background info's are essential.

Resurrected? He's alive so that might be painful for him! He was directly involved (he was the producer & originator behind the whole thing), these are new sessions and quotes of his that we posted like “…Thank the spirit of music for making this possible. This one plays music like magic. It was made for the music, not for the money and not for the hype.” and “Modern music was not possible so far (in my opinion) to do realistically with samples. I think now for the first time as I’ve tried it, it works sensational with this library.” are great to hear of course

Oboe Solo Multi
Oboe Solo Sustain (4)
Oboe Solo Portato (7)
Oboe Solo Staccato (4)

That's what is listed for solo oboe in the Sounds section for MP2. Three main articulations and 15 variations. Now, I would think that the Multi instrument is a key-switched instrument selecting either Sustain, Portato or Staccato.

But each of those articulations has several variations, which leads to a few questions:
(a) for a particular instrument (e.g. Solo Staccato) how do I access the different variations?
(b) are the variations different MP2 instruments (and therefore have to be loaded into different slots in MP2)? or is there some sort of variation-switching?
(c) which variations are in the Oboe Solo multi?
(d) how can I change them to be the ones I want?
And a general one
(e) Was I right about the Oboe Solo Multi including the three articulations?

The same questions would go for all the other Multi instruments in MP2.

Great question. This is the type of functionality I would like to see in a video demo. I am very interested in going for the MP2 presale, but I just would like to know exactly what I'm getting as far as workflow and functionality.

I would think that IK would want their customers making informed purchases which would make everyone happy.

When will we be able to see these type of video demos from IK?
