VITRIFIER - CODEX ABSURDUM

Postby veno_mk._1 » Sun Mar 30, 2025 10:57 pm

Hey Y'all, I've got something a bit different this time.

I just made an Extreme metal/Grindcore project with my friend Eric of Paint Bomb. It's probably the craziest thing I've ever put together. We made it in a few months with a lot of inspiration from Pig Destroyer and Whitechapel. The themes and lyrics of the album are all absurd and silly, hence the title of the album.

Eric did all of the vocals while I took care of the instrumental and production. Which means I used my ik multimedia plugins!

Here's what I used:
    -TONEX (for bass)
    -MODO BASS 2
    -T-RACKS 5 MAX
    -Mixbox (for sidechaining)

If you're interested in what you hear, you can listen to our album on all streaming platforms here.

Thanks for listening!

Hi! As far as I know the albums inspired by Pig Destroyer and Whitechapel are extremely catchy, the silliness you describe is the highlight of this genre.

Hi Steve and Eric,

Holy crap! Not ska’ish at all.

I’m familiar with both Pig Destroyer and Whitechapel - you guys have nailed this genre. Hard not to mosh by myself currently. This is a major shift and, I would say, a significant accomplishment to both you and Eric for generating great songs AND the production is truly killer….hope Eric hasn’t smoked his voice!!!

This genre is not easy to execute for clear, compelling mixes but, whoa, you gents should further this path!! Hats off to you both! \../  \../
