I just bought Total Studio Max 4 for a fantastic price. I was really only after Amplitube and Tonex Max (as an upgrade for my new Tonex One pedal) but a few of the other bits and pieces look great. In particular I want to try out ARC 3 and I realise I will need to buy a MEMS mic.
I have a Behringer calibration mic already, but I get the impression I will do better with a genuine ARC MEMS mic. Assuming this is the case, am I safe buying the mic from Amazon? The price is slightly cheaper than on the IK Multimedia site, where I would also have to pay £20 (or euros) for a courier. On Amazon it's free next day delivery.
My concern is whether or not these are genuine IK Multimedia products. I have previously been stung twice on Amazon, once buying a Shure SM57 and once buying a Shure SM7B - both of which turned out to be fakes. There is an IK Multimedia branded shop on Amazon, but I can't tell if it really is IK Multimedia.
Finally, the Amazon product says for ARC 2.5, but as far as I can tell this mic will work with later versions (it's the black one). Am I right?
Any advice is much appreciated. Cheers!
