Amplitube 5 Cubase Pro 14 crash (program unstable)

Hi there is anyone else having this issue.
I am getting the program is unstable after crashing message when saving a project with Amplitube5
Also getting the serious problem has occuured message listing AMplitube as the problem when loading a project
The crash is very similar to the one that was happening with Tracks-6 in Cubase before the last update

I forgot to mention in my previous post I am on Windows 11

I reverted Amplitube back to version 5.8.1 and the crashing problem went away
It seems it is the latest version that is having problems with Cubase

Note it opens right up here in Cubase 14 Pro on Mac. On both Mac and Windows, it (and your DAW) will need to have permissions for certain directories so it may have to do with that. But IK Support are set up to help assess things like this so please open a ticket with them and they'll take a deeper look.

I am in touch with support and they cannot reproduce the error on their end
The older version 5.81 is working as it should the new version gives the errors
It is the same error reproducable on my system that was occurring with Tracks-6 with Cubase before the last update
I was in touch with support with that issue as well and I started a thread on that problem here too
Sometimes you need to open the project on Windows up to 10 times before a crash occurs
Sometimes after two or three times or on the first time
This is the same thing that was happening with Tracks-6

Please tell IK Support that their suggestions are not working and you'd like to them to continue assisting you as they won't normally just drop an issue they should continue to help.

I have recently sent in the last 3 hours about 5 or 6 additional updates to my support request with information about version 5.81 being stable in Cubase now included
I have been testing Amplitube for the last few days
I will let you know when I receive any further response

I've been having exactly the same issue for a while now.

Came here to say I've been experiencing the same rather infuriating issue with Amplitube 5. In my case, I've been using it via Cubase 13 Pro up until recently, as 14 Pro would get stuck on scanning my (many) VST3 plugins. I just updated some plugins and can now use Cubase 14 Pro and get the same intermittent error with Amplitube 5 there. I'm on Windows 11 24H2, up to date with OS, BIOS, drivers, apps and plugins as far as I know. Using an i9-12900K,64GB RAM,RTX4080,RME FF802. I've run Windows Memory Diagnostic which finds no errors. I've run the System File Checker which says all is well...

Anybody with issues like this should report them to IK Support so they can gather as much valuable information as possible to help assist with said issue. I see some have confirmed opening tickets. Thank you.

Hi all,

I have the same issue - Win 11, Cubase 14.20, Amplitube 5.41

I opened a ticket and sent them a copy of the Cubase crashdump and a picture of the error.

I reverted back to 5.81 - no issues so far but it sometimes takes days for the error to occur.

Tech support got back to me and they want me to perform a clean install - clearing registry entries and deleting directories, etc. - then reinstalling 5.41.

Have any of you tried this and has it helped? I don't really feel like spending a bunch of time debugging this - I am in the middle of a couple of projects and just want stability. If 5.81 provides this, I'll stay there until they correct the bug...
