Move Starred Favorites to New Computer

Postby alienpops » Mon Dec 02, 2019 10:20 pm

I have a new computer (Mac) and I was able to get SampleTank 4 installed and moved over all of the sounds, but the instruments that I marked as favorites (added a star) are not showing up. How do I get the star ratings to transfer to a new computer? I spent hours going through all of the sounds and am hoping not to have to replicate that process. Thanks for any help on this.

I do not know where the log of the Favourites is kept.

As this is primarily a user to user forum, someone-else may chime in. Meanwhile, the best thing to do is raise a Support Ticket, here for some one to one help (US (East Coast) Business hours, generally). Response time is usually within 2 working days.

Late to the game, but I've just discovered that the C:\Users\<your name>\Documents\IK Multimedia\SampleTank 4\instruments.db file is a database that can be read (with something like SQLite) and the favourites can be listed. In theory you could do some SQL and update the new db with data from the old db. I have a few favourites that I will transfer by hand, unless I get adventurous...
