In MODO Drums it would be nice, in the mixer, to have the ability to pan on both OH & Room.

for the time being, you could route out to your DAW mixer and do it that way

for sure, though it's not standard to pan the OH and Room mics as they are already stereo

What if I don't want the room in full wide stereo in the mix or if I want to pan the drums to one side and have the room sound follow that pan or if I want the drums on one side and the room sound the other-I want to have lots of options open to me and if I can make that simpler by having the pan open to me in the program can you really say that's wrong or I shouldn't have that ability?

didn't say any of that... just saying it's not standard practice to do it that way and that's probably why it's not included (the typical idea of these types of companies is usually, "we provide the basic functionality outside of what the plugin is actually intended for, but if you want to do something advanced, route out and do it in your DAW natively", similar to how you see that using an external amp simulator like TONEX is highly recommended over using the built in amp effects in MODO Bass 2. It's just not as likely that they would provide unconventional or advanced features outside of the "intention" behind the plugin. So in this case, because the type of panning you're asking for is more unorthodox/creative, there's reason to believe it falls outside the scope of the plugin, since it probably was not meant to be a drum plugin with ultimate built in panning capabilities and such. Also, in the first place, most plugins outside of MODO DRUM will run more efficiently and will more than likely sound better too. I could only wholeheartedly recommend using external effects anyway.
In short,
1. I'm not saying you shouldn't have the ability, just stating potential reasons why it hasn't been added
2. Just wishing you good luck because they might not do it if my hypotheses are true...

The Studio Upright and Rockabilly should have a 5-string option like the rest of the basses to get some lower notes. Five-string double basses are a thing!

I assume they just never got their hands on one to model it (it's not as simple as just adding another string)

I mean, they really don't need to go to all that trouble. Just use what they already have for E1 and pitch it down 1,2,3,4 semitones to add D#1, D1, C#1, C1 to the lower range of notes. You can do that with a bunch of complex programming on prerecorded midi with ReaPitch and it sounds believable, but its cumbersome and doesn't let you play live.

Maybe that sounds believable to your ears but to people who spend a lot of time with these instruments that's just going to sound even more synthetic and fake than if they actually modeled the properties of the that particular low string gauge, fret response, etc.
there's just no reality where that would sound realistic, and if you need a more exaggerated example, just try pitching down the first string and make it the fifth string and see just how unrealistic that is... each string has different properties that affect timbre significantly, especially as you travel down the fretboard, as well as significant differences with the non-tonal sounds that occur when playing the string, due to the difference in vibrational frequency and AmpliTube on the instrument. a believable drop d tuning is most likely possible, but adding another string with entirely different properties compared the one next to it by simply copying and shifting the previous string down will lead in absolute disaster for a physical model. i mean, if you have access to a real bass (even an electric one), just try and add another E string in place of a B string and tune it down, you'll see how different that is from using an actual B string.

Hey I'm all for it! But if given the choice between them not doing anything at all because they can't get their hands on a 5 string or it would just be too much effort, I would take pitched down extra low notes rather than just playing silence for the low notes when needed.

I can agree with you on that :) well, the workaround you've used may be the best way for now if you want to do it, and if it's just extra range you need, i suppose you might as well just transpose your bassline higher then export and transpose lower to the intended key, which has about the same effectiveness as transposing a singular string, but with the added benefit of consistency

Just for info: when posting a reply, there is no need to quote an immediately-preceding post.

Instead you can just point at them (as has been done in the posts above). Generally this will make the topic easier to read.
