No sound out no input signal in new Mac Mini M4

Hello all, Irig hd x works perfect with my new iPad Pro. However, when plugged into my new MacMini with the M4 chipset there is an issue with no sound output. The Mac mini settings and the software settings detects the irig hd x but the software (AmpliTube and GarageBand) does not respond. There are no readings on the tuner or the input meters. I do get sound from the headphone jack but the amp controls have no effect on the sound. Could it be the new chipset or am I just setting it up wrong. Again, it works fine on my IPad. Update, was able to get AmpliTube to work on the Mac Mini but not TONEX. Should the settings be the same for both TONEX and AmpliTube.
