How to Load Paid Presets into Tonex iOS App on my iPad ?

Hi all !

I used to run the real full Tonex Hardware Pedal and never had any issues loading or using my own paid-for-Capture packs.

I've just borrowed my brothers iPad to work with the Tonex iOS app - it installed and is working fine.

My 2 Problems ?

First Problem

1 => is it correct that the only way I can get *my own paid for captures* into my Tonex iOS iPad app is to (i) first upload them to Tonenet and then (ii) on the iPad iOS Tonex app, download them from Tonenet ?

2 => is there another quicker-easier way ?

Second Problem

Assuming uploading them to Tonenet first is the only way, then this is very hit an miss.

I tried uploading to Tonenet 2 of my paid for captures - one of them uploaded and downloaded fine

The other paid for capture has (a) the cloud button on the right greyed out -and- (b) the circle picture icon on the left is a circle with " To " in it as opposed to the capture that did upload which had the icon circle of just the "body and head" image (?)

Can someone please advise what on earth is going on here ?

The Captures I want to put on my iPad are Amalgam Audio Model Packs *not* Tonenet "Collections" or Tonenet Registered sellers.

I can put them on Tonex PC and the Tonex Full Pedal *no worries* but cannot find any way to upload them into Tonex iOS (?)

Surely I cant be the only one with this issue ?????

TONEX iOS can currently load those collections (including Tone Partner Collections) that were purchased or obtained through ToneNET. Third party Tone Models are not able to be imported in the iOS version at this time.

Given this has been asked for by numerous people for over 15 months, here and elsewhere since Tonex iOS was released, and it has been escalated several times ... -honeslty- is this ever going to come to the iOS version ?

It is such a simple change and not been done for so long - despite numerous requests - that I fear it is intentionally being left out and never going to come to the iOS app ?

We have relayed this to the team, but the forum mods/admins do not have any more information on the topic beyond that at this time.

Hey Peter !

I know we have exchanged notes over on TGP and your help has always been 2nd to none

So ... could I make a respectful request ?

I do appreciate its been escalated to Engineering several times now in the last 15+ months ... but from a user perspective nothing has changed.

I also do understand the Forum mods / admins don't make / design / engineer the products.

As such:-

1 => could you / one of the forum mods / admins directly ask Engineering if 3rd Party loading and importing of Models [ ie: Amalgam Audio etc.... ] is even on the horizon for Tonex iOS ?

2 => if its not on the near-medium term to-do list ... noting that the iOS App hasn't been updated in ~7 months and is stuck at 1.2.4 whilst the PC is on 1.8.1 ... then just let us know so I/we can make choices accordingly

-and-

3 => if its (2) above, then at the very least amend/edit the App Store Page for Tonex iOS to make it explicitly clear that Tonex iOS can *only* load free models from Tonenet and/or paid models from Tonennet Registered sellers and that 3rd Party models cannot be loaded into Tonex iOS.

I genuinely / sincerely do not think this is a big, or disrespectful or difficult ask.

I've asked. The only part of the TONEX software roadmap that is public is the editor coming in the next update for the Mac/PC version. The answer is that beyond that they are not sharing anything that could change or might not be set in stone.
