Tonex One Volume Issue

Postby elisderv » Fri Dec 06, 2024 4:36 pm

Hi all, just got the tonex one yesterday and have been figuring it all out. Got the ASIO driver installed and configured in the tonex software. Currently my chain is tonex out into FRFR, usb-c connected to PC and trying to use the software to demo presets. For whatever reason, every preset has almost no volume out of my speaker (even though input and output look good in the software).

The weird thing is if I turn on reverb or modulation, the "mix" in reverb or "level" in modulation controls the overall volume of the preset. I cannot figure out why these onboard effects are working these way and would really like to audition without reverb on. It also seems like with reverb on it's adding a separate maybe double layered signal. Very frustrating - have tried searching all over for how to get this configured correctly, but hoping someone here has advice.

Tried unplugging it from PC and going direct into speaker with power supply and it's same deal, only presets with reverb on are audible. Everything else is too quiet

Figured out my issues were caused by using trs cables instead of unbalanced instrument/ts
