Axe I/O solo input channels stopped working

Axe I/O solo input channels just stopped working. All input on my axe I/O just stopped working. It hasn't been moved or anything it was working then it stopped. I restarted my daw nothing. rebooted nothing. there is no input meter or anything. Changed chords, guitars it just seems completely dead. Any ideas, the outputs still work but can't plug a guitar into it. Wouldn't expect such a massive failure but it just seems to have just died.

yes, [mod redacted - please review the rules when posting]...the short version is it was out of warranty
