Official T-RackS Wish List!

Discussion about MixBox and T-RackS

Considering that T-Racks 6 seems to have fulfilled the sidechain request and more, there's one improvement I would have expected IK to make automatically in 2024.

Improve your audio quality—let's get deep into it.

In a treated room with a good monitoring system and/or high-quality headphones like the Sennheiser HD650 and above, I can hear that EQual, Stealth Limiter, and One, (but literally all the plugins are based on the same tech) add a kind of white noise that degrades the overall "mixdown" quality. Of course, with cheaper equipment, it's not audible, but for me, it is, and this alone forces me to switch to your competitors' products.

Analyzing these plugins in PluginDoctor, I clearly see what's happening: EQual has a -150 dB noise floor, Stealth Limiter has too many harmonics and a noise floor at -150 dB, and One is a mess up to -75 dB, which is well within the audible range. The 432 EQ is no different.

While I understand this behaviour from Stealth and any other compressor (though a nice transparent option is needed), I don't understand it from the EQs. Could you please look into whether antialiasing or similar technologies could help clean them down to -200 dB, where not even dogs can hear it?

This feature alone will bring T-Racks as the King of all.(And still, I’m waiting for EQual to become a dynamic EQ, ideally with EQ curves in the style of Kirchhoff. It would be a great addition to that EQ, but the most important thing is its transparency.)

Technical request for T-Racks (and for some other IK plugins).

I always liked IK installers because I can choose not only VST2 path, but also VST3 path. Even if VST3 have fixed path, it allows subfolders to be created etc. And I am using it.

Unfortunately - IK installers asks for path, but never remember it at all. Every update and I must choose the same paths again.

And about T-Racks - if I choose them in T-Racks module (which one I want to use) they're copied into VST3 root directory instead of keeping them in directory user choose during installation.

It would be great to update all installers so they store some info in registry or some config file and next time use these paths for all operations.

And one more thing.

I Liked "TR5" prefixes in T-Racks 5.
Is there any possibility to made it in TR6? Of course maintaining compatibility with current projects. Plugins IDs probably remains the same so it will be only different display name.

"TR6 Opto Compr" or "TR6 Equal" looks better (and they group more easily) than "Opto Compr" and "Equal".

Hi

1. Ducker on the delays
Yes, a workaround is possible, but I end up using other delays 99% of the time which is a shame. It would be great to have a ducker on the reverbs as well.

2. Dynamic EQ
The suite is really missing a dynamic EQ, and I´d suggest adding it to Equal.

3. Mix knob
All of the compressors and saturators should have a mix knob

It would be really useful with a dynamic spectral balance and resonance suppression plugin. It´s something I didn't think I needed but now use in virtually every sessions. It would be nice to have a plugin in the suite, especially when using the stand alone version as it doesn´t load third party plugins.

Hi! Can you please integrate the old "Perceived Loudness" Meter from the old T-RackS CS metering Plugin to the new "Full Metering" plugin in T-Racks? I trust these values for many years now and i would love to see this back again in the current versions of the T-Racks suite.

Thank you.
Best regards
