Tonex pedal cab or monitor suggestions

Postby bebemilo » Wed Nov 06, 2024 9:40 pm

I recently bought a Tonex pedal, and I use it for home practice with headphones. I don’t like to be dependent on a PC while playing. I am looking for a monitor/active cab so that everyone in my family can listen as well. I don’t have any plans for gigs—just for home use.

I would also like to have simultaneous playback so that I can use backtracks or listen to music. I don’t have any monitors at the moment. Additionally, when I use the Tonex with my PC (Windows), I can feel some latency.

I’ve seen products like the Fender Tone Master FR or the iLoud Micro Monitor. However, none of these provide the ability to play backtracks from another audio input (e.g., Bluetooth) while playing guitar. Not sure if I’m asking too much…

Any suggestions or advice about products or setups that could fulfill my needs?
I have a max budget around 500-600 euro.

The newer Headrush FRFR monitors may be a great option for you. They allow for bluetooth connectivity alongside analog inputs. You'd be able to monitor your guitar signal and play along with music via bluetooth.
